Two years ago I spent the summer near the ocean
Two years ago I spent the summer near the ocean. Before learning of Christian Science I was very fearful of cold winds and dampness, since, for years, I was never free from neuralgia. There came a painful night with its dark suggestions, but with the morning's light, came also the resolution to assert my God-given dominion. I consecrated two hours to the service of God, Good, declaring what God is, what creation is, what Love has done and is constantly doing, and denied every thought unlike Good. I realized, that the omnipotence of God shuts out any painful sense, that in infinite Love, evil has no name or nature, that the "carnal mind is enmity," but "led by the Spirit" I am under no material law, that the Mind which was in Christ Jesus brings peace. The remainder of the day I spent on the veranda unconscious of atmosphere, until some one remarked that I was dressed very thin, and was sitting in a draft. Where had the neuralgia gone? All material conditions said to produce it were the same. Once again had I proved this mighty truth of Christian Science as given us through our text-book, Science and Health, by our great benefactor, Mrs. Eddy.—C. W. B., Chicago, Ill.
