For thirteen years I had tried every available material...
For thirteen years I had tried every available material means for the restoration of health. I underwent all sorts of treatment in the different sanitariums. "Incurable" was the verdict. As I had inherited rheumatism, every joint was affected and drawn out of shape. After beginning Christian Science treatment, all the pain and swelling disappeared, and all the joints except the hands have returned to their natural size and shape; the hands are loosening out gradually. I can go about in all kinds of weather without the slightest fear of a return, for I know there is no re-action in Truth. As thought rises to the consciousness of God's allness, the fetters of materialism vanish, and I walk onward knowing that Love is the only power. We must work faithfully, if we would find the Principle by which man's heritage is revealed. "Seek, and ye shall find." We do find life eternal in God. Dwelling therefore in good, all is peace and harmony. We lose nothing by becoming Christian Scientists, but we gain all. I attended the second meeting here in Manchester, two and a half years ago; there were nine present; now we have an organized church with a membership of sixty-one. I think its growth clearly shows that the seed was sown on good ground, for it beareth much fruit.
