My last dose of material medicine was taken July 10, 1900. For ten years prior to that date I was under almost constant care of physicians. I have undergone one very severe and two other not quite so severe operations at the Presbyterian Hospital (Chicago), which gave temporary relief.

I was treated by a Christian Science practitioner, and am cured of about all my ills and have been lifted spiritually into a new being. Truly I am putting off "the old man with his deeds" very surely and almost swiftly, and am thankful to my practitioner for her teachings and directions. After being relieved of a few of my worst ills, my dear husband took up the study of Christian Science, and now we both make very good demonstrations.

We were church members and for years I prayed for relief from awful pain, sometimes growing very bitter, indeed, but Christian Science showed me I had been asking amiss, and naturally I arose to a much higher understanding of God as taught in Science and Health, which interprets the Bible, and found life and health and that peace that passeth all human understanding.
