One day last summer I was attacked with blood poison, which seemed to come from a mosquito bite. It was extremely hot and I was traveling all day. When I reached my destination my ankle was much swollen, discolored like a bruise, and so painful I could no longer step on that foot. With Christian Science treatment the pain yielded in about half an hour, and in two days the trouble had disappeared. A distressing gastric and nervous disorder with a severe cold, was entirely relieved after heart-searching self-examination, and "effectual, fervent prayer." As we work for God and man, evidences of discord are brought into subjection to the law of harmony and good, and Love is the effective worker.
