As an instance of the wonderful growth of Christian Science...

As an instance of the wonderful growth of Christian Science congregations I will furnish a single example. Twelve years since in a certain family of eight adults, there were as many religious beliefs and varying opinions as to the cause and cure of bodily diseases and mental distress, as there were persons in the household. Only one of the number viewed these things from the vantage-ground of Christian Science as interpreted in Science and Health by Mary Baker G. Eddy. With patient, constant, loving example this one "leavened the lump," and to-day can rejoice in the following results: Six of the original eight are members of Christian Science Churches, the seventh and eighth accept treatment and attend Christian Science services, three of the original six married and their wives are members of Christian Science Churches, two of the original six are readers, and the wife of the seventh has been healed through Christian Science. All have come through Christian Science to have one concept of God, and to believe that God knows no evil, inharmony, discord, disease, or distress, and consequently varying opinions have passed and oneness of thought and action enables this united and harmonious family to register through this testimony a degree of the gratitude it feels for constantly increasing blessings which come through our Leader's constant and loving guidance.
