For many years before learning of Christian Science I had suffered from indigestion in a severe form, which gradually became chronic, and for which I tried numberless remedies without result. Through a friend who was interested I began to attend the Christian Science services and purchased a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. The interpretation of the Scriptures as given there appealed to me at once, and I sought to learn all I could along that line, not thinking at that time especially about the healing, although I discontinued taking medicine. Imperceptibly the disease left me, while I was reading Science and Health. and I awoke one day to the fact that I was perfectly well. That was over five years ago, and since then I have never had to take any thought for the body, what I should eat.
