Among the Churches
Opening Services at Dayton, O.
Sunday , September 7, was an event of great importance to the Christian Scientists of this city. It was the formal opening of their church on the Boulevard, which they recently purchased from the Congregational Church. Having been newly painted and decorated, it presented a beautiful appearance, the interior of subdued green, base of dark green, gradually blending into a chamois-tone on the ceiling, rich and artistic in color effect, and soft and pleasant to the eye. In the vestibule there is a motto reading:—
Divine Love always has met, and always will meet, every human need."—Mary Baker Eddy.
And back of the Readers' desks, or pulpits, is another motto on ribbon design, reading: "God is Love."
