For Good and Against Evil
Elmira (N. Y.) Telegram
Mr. Editor:— The Church of Christ, Scientist, is not "aggressive" towards any Christian denomination or any persons, but is enlisted in an "aggressive" warfare solely against the impersonal foes of mankind; namely, sin, sorrow, and sickness. To such foes Christian Science grants no quarter, makes no excuse and knows no pardon.
It should be understood that Christian Science, while it is now represented by a denomination with distinct churches and separate organization, is nevertheless no sect, in the generally accepted sense of the term. Mrs. Eddy has truly said in her work entitled "No and Yes," p. 18:—
"Science is not the Shibboleth of a sect or the cabalistic insignia of philosophy ; it excludes all error and includes all Truth. More mistakes are made in its name than this period comprehends."
