Several times during the past four months I have felt that I ought to write of the many benefits I have received through Christian Science. In November, 1900, I saw a friend reading Science and Health, and having heard that there was a religion called Christian Science, but knowing nothing at all of it except that it was considered ridiculous by many persons, I said to my friend that I should like to look over the book. To my surprise she told me I could keep it if I found it interesting, as my husband had bought it the year before while visiting America, and thinking I would not care to have it in the house, had left it with her.
I took the book, and began to read that evening. The next day I continued to read, and knew then that I had at last found the Truth I had been long wanting, and no words of mine can tell the joy and peace which came to me.
Several years before I had lost all belief in the religion I had been taught from childhood, for I could not believe in a God who sent sickness, and took from us the dear ones who seemed to be so needed here.
