Among the Churches
In October, 1898, a little band of students who love Christian Science, having outgrown informal meetings, which had been held several years prior to this date, formed themselves into a Society for the purpose of furthering the cause of Truth in Terre Haute.
A room on the main street was secured for the Sunday and Wednesday meetings. One year later a larger room was occupied.
In May, 1901, a public reading room was opened at the latter place, and in January of this year, the Society took possession of two attractive rooms in the handsome new Swope Block. One of these is used for the services, the other as a reading room.
