When I commenced to study music, my teacher drilled me in a certain method. After a few years I grew dissatisfied with my progress and went to another teacher. I was asked to play, and after a few moments he stopped me with the remark that my method was wrong, and showed me the correct way.

I went home discouraged, for I felt that a good deal of work would have to be undone; but I thought, "I will start again as though I were a little child and make the old way as though it never existed." I worked faithfully and I remember, my teacher expressed surprise and pleasure at my progress when I went for the next lesson.

Now it seems to me that this is a great deal like the way in Christian Science. We become dissatisfied with our way of living, — with sickness, sin, and sorrow, — and if we go to a true Christian Scientist for help, we find that our method was wrong and are shown the correct way: and if we will but start as a little child to understand and practise this way, the old method will be as though it never existed, and we shall rejoice in health, happiness, and love to all.—G.
