Many times my conscience has pricked me, and spoken...
Many times my conscience has pricked me, and spoken thus to my inner consciousness: What gross ingratitude is this! your silence in regard to what Christian Science has bestowed upon you. What has not Christian Science given you? all the manifold blessings of heaven are yours,— health, harmony, and a calm and sure trust in God as omnipotent Love.
From birth I had been a weak, sickly child, having twice been dangerously ill with cerebro-spinal meningitis. After accepting Christian Science, this same error presented itself. To my great surprise, the trouble was overcome in less than twenty-four hours, and I was able to dress and attend to my school duties the following morning. At this time I was quite young in the thought of Christian Science, and this wonderful realization of the Truth proved beyond a doubt the omnipotence and omnipresence of infinite Mind.
How truly our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, has spoken: "The time for the reappearing of this divine idea of healing is now: and whosoever lays his earthly all on the altar of Christian Science, may to-day drink of Christ's cup and be baptized with his baptism" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 360).
