Thanksgiving
MY heart is full of gratitude for the continual blessing that has filled my consciousness during the time dating back to Thanksgiving day, 1900. Since then I have devoted my entire time to the practice of Christian Science. The perplexities of mortal existence, in almost every degree of seriousness, have, through others, been presented to me. At times, on account of work, sleep has been neglected and there has often been a necessity for so-called exposure, but not a day during the year have I been in bondage to the false law creating disease. I wish to acknowledge, from the innermost depths of my heart, that this blessed experience was made possible to me through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which interprets and unfolds God's revealed law, presented in the Bible.
I became interested in Christian Science in the fall of 1892. I was at that time, in such a diseased state physically, mentally, and morally, that there was not, seemingly, a ray of light left directing me to a true sense of life.
My diseased physical condition, wretched as it was, seems like a dream, and I would not again allow it to become outlined in my thought, were it not for the hope of helping others.
