A few months ago I was in one of the upper rooms of my house, opening a window, when, as I undid the latch, the cord of the window broke, and the whole of the upper part of the window banged down with awful force, catching my middle finger between the upper and lower parts of the window. As soon as I possibly could, I repeated the Scientific Statement of Being, and called for help, but no one was near, and it must have been quite five or ten minutes before I was released.
I can honestly say I felt no pain, except when I knocked the finger against something, and no one looking at the finger could even see a bruise. I played tennis all that afternoon, and held my racquet quite firmly. A quarter of an hour after the occurrence, I was able to sew with my thimble on the finger that had been caught in the window.
Last March my little daughter had scarlet fever. She had no medicine, and no doctor attended her, except the medical officer of health, whom we called in at once to certify that it was scarlet fever. We treated her in Christian Science, and God surely manifested His omnipotence, and restored her to us, better in health than before.
