A Lawyer's Testimony

Mrs. Mary Spargo Fraser, the successful woman lawyer, told me yesterday that she was cured nine years ago of a severe attack of inflammatory rheumatism by the Christian Science treatment. "Do you think," I made bold to ask, "that Christian Science will mend mechanical troubles as well, such as broken bones?" "Certainly," said Mrs. Fraser. "I know of a case where a little boy had broken both arms and was cured by our treatment. A physician put his arms in splints, but the recovery was phenomenal. A little while ago, last fall, I believe, I sustained a fall and sprained my ankle. Everybody knows what a painful thing that is. Some people would rather have a fracture than a sprain, and in my case it was very severe. Well, Christian Science cured me. On the first day following the accident I rode my wheel down town. On the fourth day I rode thirty miles, and in a week I was walking as well as ever.—Evening Plain Dealer, Cleveland, O.
