I desire to tell of some of the blessings that have come to me through Christian Science. My husband had consumption for twelve years, the doctor had told me he could not live longer than three weeks, the last hope was gone, when one day I met a friend who asked me why I did not try Christian Science. He spoke of the healing as part of the religion. In my extremity I grasped at the word healing. He directed me to a Scientist. We called and purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." My husband took treatment at once. He improved daily and is to-day, some of his friends say, the marvel of the age.

I had diseases of ten years' standing. Seven doctors had said I would lose my mind, unless I had two very serious operations performed. I was treated by the same healer, and after the first treatment I never had a return of old troubles.

When one of my little boys was about six months old, the nurse let him fall down a flight of stairs. In a short time one leg seemed to be very much inflamed and swollen. For six months he was attended by our regular physician, who confessed that he did not know what the trouble was. He said I had better take him to a specialist on bone diseases. I went to the one thought to be the best in the city. He said the child had tuberculosis of ankle joint, and it would require a course of years' treatments even to relieve him. He also said the child would never walk, and it would be best to take the leg off at the knee joint to prevent disease from spreading over the body. I would not allow this to be done. The physician put the leg in a plaster cast and operated on it three times, once removing an inch of decayed bone, which made the leg shorter than the other. He would allow no one to dress the leg, but attended to it himself three or four times a week. The child walked on crutches, and was a great sufferer. He cried day and night.
