The Lectures

If anything were needed to show that the great mass of people are seeking for light and truth, the immense gathering of earnest, interested seekers after truth on Sunday evening, February 25, to listen to Judge Ewing's lecture on Christian Science, would be ample proof. That the Christian Scientists of Riverside are in earnest, needs but little proof, for they were liberal enough to hire the Opera House and invite the people of Riverside to listen to one of their regularly authorized lecturers, without even passing the hat. It appears, too, that they have a regular staff of lecturers whose mission it is to go everywhere, enlightening the people as to the real mission of Christian Science, admission to these lectures being invariably free.

Dr. A. A. Sulcer, C.S.D., of Riverside, who is also an accredited lecturer, presided over the meeting, and in introducing Judge Ewing said,—

In the name of the Christian Scientists of Riverside, and in the name of the Board of Lectureship of the Mother Church of Boston, I am glad to greet you and to give you welcome this evening.
