A Good Suggestion

A Correspondent thus writes in reference to notice of Church services in hotel registers in the larger cities:—

"As you are aware, nearly all the churches in the cities have notices in what are called Church Registers, and these Registers can be found in all first class hotels. The church notices of our denomination are now placed in these hotel registers, but the traveling public, and Christian Scientists as well, never seem to remember to consult these registers for information as to the places and hours for services. In many instances hotel clerks have been asked for the desired information, and the inquirers, who were for the most part Christian Scientists, have been told they knew of no such church, etc., when in the hotel office hung the Church Register containing the card announcing the place, hours for services, etc. Would it not be well to call attention to this in the Sentinel? Students of Christian Science do not always have a Journal with them, and it would be a great convenience to know that by stepping into any first-class hotel and consulting the Church Register, they would be spared often a fruitless search for a Church of Christ, Scientist."

We suggest in addition that where our church services are not yet placed in the hotel registers, this be done, and if changes occur in the place of holding them, the change be promptly put in the register. Then if traveling Christian Scientists will profit by the suggestion of our correspondent, the difficulty will be met, and the delays which sometimes occur in getting notice of the change in the Journal referred to in a letter from a member of the Frederick Warde Company, published in the Sentinel of March I, will not occur, and the trouble mentioned in that letter will cease.
