Several Cases of Healing

In the year 1893, after several years of suffering and invalidism, which had baffled the skill of many physicians, my brother, now a Reader in one of the Brooklyn churches, induced me to try Christian Science, and took me to a Christian Scientist in Toronto. As I grew stronger, the desire to know more of the Truth came to me, and I remained about three years, in order to gain more of the understanding. While there, my sister came for a while and was healed. We both came home and began to read the Lesson-Sermon every Sunday morning in our home, and I began to treat my mother, who had been bedfast for fifteen years—the result of a sunstroke. She was healed, and later my father was healed of serious stomach and bowel trouble. They are both interested in our services. Two years ago last October we began to hold regular public Sunday services in Union Hall, and now five of us meet regularly every Sunday and Wednesday evening. Often we have others, and we feel that the influence of the meeting is felt by many.

Three brothers from Dakota and Iowa have visited us, become interested in our work, and have begun the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and have acknowledged great benefit.

Several of our friends from a distance have visited us, and seeing the work done, and attending our service, have gone away, and begun the reading of the Christian Science Lesson-Sermons in their own homes. We have had a number of cases of healing, some pronounced incurable by a number of the best physicians in the country.
