Curvature of the Spine
For more than twenty-five years I was an invalid, not able to walk or sit up. I suffered so constantly with the many ills that seemed to hold me in bondage, that my life was at times a weary burden. Doctors, medicine, and operations all failed to relieve me. I was finally induced by a very dear friend, to write to a Christian Scientist in a distant city. She took my case, and I began to improve at once. In the first treatment I was healed of one trouble on account of which I had passed through untold suffering, and it has never appeared since. I also began to rest quietly and peacefully at night and awake refreshed and strengthened every morning.
Among other seeming difficulties I had a serious curvature of the spine, so that I had been obliged to wear a plaster cast and numerous other appliances. But I threw them all aside, and Christian Science healed me so that the curvature has nearly disappeared and does not inconvenience me at all. I can sit up all day, walk about with comfort, and ride long distances in my carriage. Words cannot express my joy and happiness and thankfulness to God that I am able to be about and work for my friends and family after so many years of suffering. I have sometimes struggled through the dark, and error has tried to get me back in bondage. If I was not able to demonstrate for myself I did not resort to medicine in any form, but called for help from the dear sister who first took my case and who has always brought me out by her realization of Truth and Love.
