Individual Work
In the distribution of the literature of the Christian Science Publishing Society, individual Scientists have done an immense work. Yet all has been done within the lines indicated in our recent articles — that is, with reference to the good of the cause and reaching the needy, and not for financial gain. So far from this being the motive, our zealous co-workers have been financial losers in this work; but compensation of a higher sort than that which is measured by dollars and cents has been abundantly theirs, and they have rejoiced in the blessings which have crowned their Christly labors.
With a deep consciousness of having, unitedly, done our duty in the interests of divine Truth, we can afford to pass unnoticed the unjust and untruthful jeers which proceed from some whose motives are base and selfish.
We shall continue our God-appointed work with good cheer and clear consciences, well knowing by whom we are truly judged.
