Among the Churches

The Christian Scientists held a largely attended meeting on McLeod Street, Sunday, November 26. The Readers were Mr. O. Higman and Mrs. Higman, who conducted the lessons from Science and Health and from the Scriptures respectively.

A number of inquirers took advantage of the throwing open of the Christian Science reading room in the Bank Street Chambers in the afternoon to visit the place for light on the new theory. The reading room, though small, is cosily furnished, and is well equipped with literature bearing on the subject.

Some of the experiences vouched for believers present were interesting as showing the extent of the merit claimed for the Science. One gentleman stated that he had been a victim of chronic gastritis and had been warned by physicians not to come to this country. He became a student of Christian Science and was cured. This believer's wife was a consumptive. Several members of her family died from phthisis. She became a convert to Christian Science and is cured.
