More than a believer–in Bangladesh

I was brought up a Baptist. My father and grandfather were pastors in their time, so I had a strong Christian background. Then several years ago, I was introduced through a friend to a Christian Scientist from the United States. That beloved “brother” began to send me periodicals along with a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

At first I did not study the book closely. But then I had an opportunity to meet this Christian Scientist when he came to Bangladesh for a short time. During his stay at our place, I made time to sit with him and go through the weekly Bible Lesson every evening. Because of this, I found myself more interested in studying Science and Health. From then on God has been helping me to understand, not to just merely believe, His healing power.

I found myself reading Science and Health and the periodicals most of the time. The more I read, the more my understanding expanded; I could not put them down for long. I kept in regular contact with the brother who had come to see me. Whenever I needed clarification, I asked him through e-mail, and he immediately responded. Thus, day by day, my understanding of Christian Science expanded.
