Knee injury and facial growth healed

Two recent healings have strengthened my understanding of God—of what He is and what He does for His children.

Four years ago I took a terrible fall on an asphalt road in front of our home when my shoelace caught in the wheel of my road bike. Down I went with a thud, landing on my knee and leg. The pain was intense, and my kneecap appeared badly damaged.

My first thought was disappointment: I felt I would never be able to go on our planned bike tour to Vermont in a week. My second thought was: You’ve been studying “the scientific statement of being” (found on page 468 of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy) all week. The statement was the basis of that week’s Christian Science Bible Lesson. “You know you’re not material, you are spiritual!” I declared aloud.
