CHRISTIAN SCIENCE NURSING CONFERENCE
Thank you for including a report on the 2011 International Christian Science Nursing Conference in the “Items of interest” section in the December 12, 2011, issue of the Sentinel [“Guided by a psalm”].
I had the opportunity to attend the conference in Lebanon, Missouri. It was an inspiring and enriching experience. The conference explored and celebrated, in some detail, the ministry of Christian Science nursing, established by Mary Baker Eddy in Article VIII, Section 31, of the Manual of The Mother Church.
Throughout the talks and workshops that comprised the conference, I felt a strong connection with the healing and redemptive mission of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. I particularly enjoyed the live audio session with the Christian Science Board of Directors in Boston, which affirmed their active support for the worldwide ministry of Christian Science nursing.
I look forward to attending the next conference in 2013.

ART-INSPIRED!
I love the Sentinel, always.
The December 5, 2011, issue [“Art & Soul”] is outstanding. I loved the cover painting, “Stones and Light.”
I have an art background (visual arts), and the articles by Jeffrey Hildner [“Free the angel”], Herb Jung ["Soul-thinker”], Kim Shippey ["Striking spiritual notes”], and Will Radford [“Casting call”] showed that inspiration is unique and available to us all, expressing Soul, God, in every life experience—even in diversity of challenges, such as the choreography and fancy cake decorating in Amy Ward-Bailey’s experience [“Creativity—like the icing on a cake”].
Monica Karal’s journey into becoming a practitioner of healing is inspiring [“Every call is a joy”], and so are the testimonies. I get healing ideas in every Sentinel. I just had to put it into words, finally!
Thank you to the editors, contributors, everyone involved in producing the Sentinel. It is such a blessing.

A GIFT TO SHARE
I just wanted to thank you for the December 5 Sentinel, “Art & Soul.” It’s been so much fun to share with others. My husband sent a copy to a friend of ours who is an aspiring actress in New York City. I gave a copy to my art teacher as a thank you for having taken her class. A third copy is going to a friend who loves the arts. I’m sure all three individuals will appreciate this unexpected gift.
I also wanted to thank author Will Radford for his article in this issue called “Casting call.” His clear explanation of how he prayed about the belief of “competition” in his line of work was very helpful, but it also applies to anyone who feels they’re experiencing competition of any sort, as in the job market.
Thanks for all you’re doing in Boston to keep the Sentinel fresh and a gift most worthy of sharing with others!
