When opportunity knocks
Looking for employment? Looking to serve God? As I’ve progressed in my understanding of Christian Science, I have grown to learn that it is God’s job to employ us and it’s our job to let Him! God is our forever employer with infinite, unlimited opportunities for us.
Over a long career in many different areas, I wasn’t always prepared for the good God was directing me to do—I first had to foster greater awareness of God’s angel messages pointing the way. This often required giving up human will, personal beliefs, and opinions, and replacing them with more patience and humble submission to the will of God.
At one point in my working life, you might have said I was quite unhappily employed. In fact, I felt I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. It seemed as if I was in a dark tunnel with everything that was important to me far off.
