Finding a parking space—with grace

I live in a congested area in a busy city . I have enjoyed living here with the hustle and bustle—tourists and many things to do. One thing, though, that has been a challenge is the parking situation. Most apartment residents as well as home owners in this city must park on the street versus having a designated off-street spot. The city has strict ordinances about parking and street cleaning that are readily enforced with consequences like towing and expensive parking tickets.

During a period of several months, my car was towed twice and windows smashed once. It forced me to be ever alert to the safety and protection of my car, as well as my own safety. At times, panic set in. It appeared that there were not enough places for everyone on any given evening. I was convinced of it. But I didn’t want these fears to dominate my life, and that is when I knew I needed to change my thought about this and pray.

I realized that God does not know a challenging or impossible situation and gives us dominion under all circumstances. So I prayerfully turned my thought to know that each of God’s spiritual ideas is fully provisioned and that God provides what we need, when we need it.
