Freedom from dental issues

For many years I was frustrated with dental and teeth problems despite having good hygiene and taking care of my teeth daily. All my life I feared dentists, because they always seemed to find something wrong during examinations.

About two years ago, I went for my yearly checkup and the dentist informed me that I needed a bone graft. There was a lot of bone loss and three quadrants of my teeth and gums would need a deep cleaning. I was also told that one of my teeth had considerable decay and I should schedule an appointment to take care of it as soon as possible.

I was, at that time, a new student of Christian Science and the suggested procedures did not appeal to me. I decided not to follow any of these suggestions and instead continued with my three yearly cleanings, as I have been doing for years. I told my hygienist of my plan to continue regular cleanings and take care of my teeth in my own way.
