Urinary condition healed
Several years ago, I was doing some heavy, physical work. Upon returning to my home, while going to the bathroom, I noticed blood in my urine. I thought about this for a moment, rejected the lie about me—knowing that God’s perfect creation could not include any kind of inharmonious physical condition—and then went on with what I was doing. Within a day’s time, elimination returned to normal and I thought no more about it.
Then, two years ago, out of the blue, the condition returned. I examined my thought and prayed and studied for a few days, expecting a complete healing. When the healing did not come, I called a Christian Science practitioner. The practitioner immediately stated that elimination was a normal, natural action and likened it to the separation of the chaff from the wheat (see Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 269).
At that time, my family and I were facing some difficult challenges, including facing a frivolous lawsuit. The thought of stress came up often, and when I mentioned this to the practitioner we began praying about the expectancy of good, normal functioning. We affirmed together that inharmony is unknown to God. The practitioner and I also talked about how error, when brought to the surface, can be healed. She assured me that I was never touched by any of these lies.
