SHOULDER INJURY HEALED, NORMAL MOVEMENT RESTORED
In December 2008, following some strenuous lifting, I found that I appeared to have dislocated a bone in my shoulder and injured my upper arm so that my entire arm and hand were disabled. I've had many healings through Christian Science and witnessed all sorts of healings in my family during childhood and with my own children, so I had no doubt that this difficulty would be overcome and healed.
I recalled that my mother-in-law, a devout Christian Scientist, had had a wonderful healing after she'd fallen inside a bus when it stopped suddenly. She had sustained a similar type of injury, and because she was in a public place, had been encouraged to go to a hospital. The doctor who X-rayed her arm said that because of the position of the injuries, it was impossible to put her arm in a plaster cast and sent her home with a sling. She was then healed completely through prayer. She regained full and normal movement in her shoulder, arm, and hand, and was always very active.
When through my own prayers, the acute pain I was experiencing didn't subside, I asked my husband to pray with me. He shared some thoughts based on the prophecy of the Messiah in Isaiah 9:6: "The government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called ... The Prince of Peace." These ideas were wonderful to me and lifted my spirits!
