Your poems

You are

You are as beautiful as the
sun.
You are as beautiful as a
daisy.

You are as pretty as a petal
that makes me go crazy.

You are as sweet as candy
and as free as a bird.

You are as lovely as the sea
and as lovely as can be.

That's who you are:
God's child.

Seastar

Lying innocently on a warm, flat stone
a splotch of paint on a canvas,
a child's hand on a father's lap.

Tangled protectively in soggy, green seaweed
a princess in a stringy gown,
a star that fell on Earth to sleep.

Tea green, sky magenta,
Cuddled at the bottom of the sea.
A seastar twinkles in its own special way.

When I wrote this poem. I thought about now all of us, just like the seastar shine in our own special way. And we all shine in Spirit, because we reflect God.
