Hellooooo, anybody out there?

Is there life in outer space? That's what astronomer and physicist Laurance Doyle has set out to discover. Dr. Doyle talked with the Sentinel about his job—and answered your questions about space and extraterrestrials.

How did you get interested in astronomy and in looking for extraterrestrials?

I got a map of the solar system when I was about six years old. I learned that the stars were really other suns like the sun we see here from Earth. This was an amazing thing to me. And I wondered what other people in space were like, and whether they spoke Spanish, since that was the only other language I knew about at that time.
