Dad and I were playing catch. I put my hand up to catch the ball, but I missed. The ball came down and hit my nose, and it started to bleed. Dad took me into the house. Mom read me some verses from the Bible and sang a hymn that helped me feel God's presence. The hymn starts, "O gentle presence." It's by Mary Baker Eddy. I knew that I was OK. Very soon the pain went away, and the bleeding stopped. Dad and I went back out and started throwing the ball around again.

One day when I came home from school. I saw that two of my pet goldfish had died. I was very sad.
