FROM THE CLERK OF THE MOTHER CHURCH

NEW MEMBERS OF THE MOTHER CHURCH

This morning [November 3], the Christian Science Board of Directors met to elect candidates to membership with The Mother Church. The members of the Board are truly grateful for each and every individual who unites with the Church that Mary Baker Eddy organized to "commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing" (Church Manual, p. 17).

These newest members of our world-wide Church family live in the following countries: Angola, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Bahamas, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Congo Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, France, Gambia, Germany, Ghana, Haiti, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mali, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Peru, Russia, Switzerland, Tanzania, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay, Venezuela, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. And they come from a variety of faith traditions including: Anglican (Church of England), Apostolic, Baptist, Buddhist, Congregational, Episcopalian, Evangelistic, Quaker, Hindu, Jewish, Jehovah's Witnesses, Latter-Day Saints, Lutheran, Methodist, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Protestant, Roman Catholic, Seventh Day Adventist, and Unitarian.

Applications were received in Dutch, English, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.
