Your help

JUST BEFORE THE KIDS' SENTINEL WENT OUT THE DOOR to be printed and mailed to you, we heard about Hurricane Katrina. The storm caused a lot of flooding and destruction on the Gulf Coast of the United States. Many people lost their homes and livelihoods, just as they did in last year's tsunami in South Asia.

Our hearts went out to everyone affected by the hurricane—some of whom were kids like you. And we thought: There must be a way to help.

We weren't the only ones wanting to lend our hands and thoughts and prayers. People from all over are already helping in whatever way they can. Some are donating money. Others are offering their time—helping care for people, clean up after the storm, and rebuild homes. And lots and lots of people—even people far away from Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama—are praying. knowing that God is loving and caring for His whole creation. No one could ever be left out of that Love.
