LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!
If something bad happens in your city, you know what to do: pray! And your prayers help you take action in just the right way-such as giving food or toys to children that need them, or collecting money for a good cause. Here are two kids' stories about what they did to help and how they let their light shine for other kids.
I DID THE MOTHER'S DAY WALK FOR PEACE IN BOSTON THIS YEAR. It was 3.6 miles long. It was freezing that day, and my legs hurt a little. But it was fun. We got hot chocolate and snacks along the way, and we also got T-shirts for participating.
I wanted to do this walk because I felt that I was doing something good for people. I want to help stop violence against children on the streets of Boston. And I want to show how important it is to support and love each other. I think that people do violent things to others because they don't know about God's love for them. God loves each one of us, and He created this wonderful earth for all of us to live on in peace. That is way I wanted to do the Walk for Peace.
