I found my way home

I moved to a new town. After my first day at school, I rode the bus home. When I got off the bus, it was the wrong bus stop. But then I saw the park that was near where our new house was. So I started walking there. But after walking a while, I couldn't find our house. I was scared, and I started crying. But I kept going.

Then I came to a new street with another playground. I was going to turn right. But a voice inside me said, "No. Look up there." I looked up to the left, and there was a weather siren. I remembered I had seen that siren with my brother the day before. I went toward the siren. And I saw a house with Halloween decorations that I knew. Then I saw the comer where I got on the bus in the morning. Then I knew I was going to get home!

A policeman was on the corner and asked me if I wanted a ride home. But I said no, because I saw Mom running down the street to where I was. I hugged her and cried some more. I was so happy to see her!
