"Gospel Truth began as the catalog arm of Douglas's division and a means to order albums through the mail. Over time it has evolved into a nondenominational, faith-based magazine focusing on music, ministries, and Christian beliefs. One edition could feature Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams on the cover the next could feature pastors such as Dr. I.V. Hilliard or Joel Osteen. 'My idea was not to sell this strictly through churches, but to get it onto magazine racks next to entertainment magazines like Vibe. We've succeeded with that,' says Douglas. ...
