Prayer to end conflict, establish peace, witness transformation

With the war in Iraq intensifying and global tensions increasing as we prepared this issue, our staff recognized the need for a heightened state of prayer. Prayer for all, which would reach beyond national boundaries and political affiliations. Prayer that would lift individual and collective thought to a place where everyone shares a common goal of peace.

To that end, we've dedicated the following pages to bringing you prayers from spiritual thinkers around the world. Here you will find contributors speaking from the heart, whether they are sharing their intimate conversations with God, the spiritual inspiration they've gained through daily living, their insights found in studying the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, or their poems, petitions, and benedictions. These are all part of the Sentinel's ongoing dialogue on prayer for peace.
