It ain't so!

Airplane crash averted.

We Were Fast approaching the runway at a busy airport in an aircraft accommodating more than 250 passengers. The landing gear was down. The plane was close to the ground. It became clear that we were about to land directly in the path of another aircraft that was taxiing in the middle of our assigned runway. Our pilot suddenly turned the plane while it was still airborne, drastically veering to the right as if it were a stunt plane. The aircraft was shaking and shuddering as he tried to turn it and gain altitude at the same time. The wing on the right side looked as if it were going to clip the top of the terminal.

Passengers began to panic. One voice in particular broke through the shouts on board with, "I'm a commercial pilot; we're going down!" Many people prepared for the worst.

My companion and I had a different reaction. We immediately turned to God in prayer. The type of aircraft in our path—named Concorde—reminded us of the harmony and omnipotence of God. There simply is no discord in God's universe. We held to the fact that all the people involved in this situation were in reality the children of one Father-Mother
