Looking for Lily

LILY is a beautiful white and tan calico cat that lives in northern Michigan. One November, Lily was staying at a friend's house way out in the forest while her owner was away for a week. Near the end of the visit, Lily slipped out the door and ran off into the woods. It was snowing hard.

When her owner came back to get her, she had been gone three days already. No one could find Lily, and it was still snowing.

Lily's owner and the friend snowshoed all over, looking for Lily. The friend felt bad because the kitty had slipped out of her house. They both were sad because Lily had been declawed, so she couldn't climb trees or catch food.
