"LIFE ON THE ROAD is spiritual desert for these guys," explains chaplain Don Denham, speaking of the three million over-the-road truckers in the United States and the need to minister to them. Before leaving this ministry for a church, Denham was one of the chaplains who, with the help of volunteer workers, was trying to make this spiritual desert bloom nationwide.

Two of the ministering to truckers convert into chapels at rest areas. Others give out religious materials, such as Bibles. There is also CB channel 12, where Christian truckers can get away from the bad language that sometimes infests other channels and talk to each other about their lives and work on the road.
