Child's back injury healed through prayer
One afternoon I received a call from my daughter's school to say that she had injured her back while playing and was unable to walk. I have experienced many physical healings through complete reliance on God, so I immediately turned to Him in prayer. I affirmed that His children are always safe, always tenderly cared for. None can ever fall out of His all-powerful embrace. As God is Spirit, and man is His image and likeness, His children are spiritual, reflecting all that He imparts. This includes right movement.
The school principal helped to see to our daughter's safe transport home. As we drove along in the car, I spoke to Prue of this verse from Acts: "For in him we live, and move, and have our being" (17:28). This Bible promise assured us that her movement and flexibility originate in God, and therefore belong to her eternally. Later, we telephoned her grandmother to ask her to pray with us, and she spoke of God's love and care. We felt confident that God is always maintaining the well-being of His children.
When we arrived home, my daughter and I continued to pray together. We examined the definition of ark in the Glossary of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: "Safety; the idea, or reflection, of Truth, proved to be as immortal as its Principle; the understanding of Spirit, destroying belief in matter.
