Happy unbirthday
Thank you for your best wishes on this
"special" day,
but I need to tell you in the kindest way,
I am ageless —
not 20 or 50 or 90
today or any day.
No number describes me, confines me.
I wasn't truly birthed,
nor will I ever be truly deathed;
I am alive in Love forever.
So thank you for your thoughts,
and I know it's not too late
for us to really celebrate
immortality (not finality).
And let me add this, too—
immortal isn't only me,
it is also you.
Susan A. Adams
