Severe skin condition healed through prayer
At one time my family lived in the Middle East. After a trip to Egypt, an unsightly and painful condition appeared on my legs. Normal activity became impossible. I knew there was no condition beyond God's power to heal, so I dedicated my days to prayer and to study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health.
I expected instant results, but the days slipped into weeks, and I remained exiled in my house. Then I recalled the story of Joseph's time in Egypt, and how he learned to lean on God, to forgive his brothers, and to love. It inspired me to learn more about God. I also realized that the concept of time really had nothing to do with healing, that no "mortal measurements" (see Science and Health,p. 595) could limit my understanding and demonstration of God's love.
