Child is well again after reading from Science and Health
I am the single parent of a very active seven-year-old boy. We both attend the Church of Christ, Scientist; he has regularly attended the Sunday School since he was a toddler.
I have found that in the evening when I need some quiet time to talk on the telephone, my son chooses that time to try to get my attention.
Recently while I was on the phone with a Christian Science practitioner, I heard my son calling to me from another room. As he knew I was on the phone, and we had previously discussed my need to have some time to myself, I ignored his call. Soon he came into my room and told me he didn't feel well. He said that his tummy hurt. I motioned for him to lie down on the bed next to me while I finished talking. The practitioner was also aware that he'd said he didn't feel well, and included him in some of our conversation.
