Safe in a storm
Powerful prayer in the path of a tornado
It was very early on a Sunday morning in May last year. I woke to the sound of the wind crashing into the trees, the rain beating down hard on the roof, and the dogs barking fearfully.
Before jumping out of bed, I immediately declared that God was in control.
I picked up my two puppies and told them that everything was fine. The sky was dark, and the rain had suddenly stopped. I felt fear run through me, and I instantly began to pray the Lord's Prayer. I watched as the wind picked up heavy metal furniture from the deck and crashed it onto the ground. A table went flying, and the glass top shattered into a million small pieces.
