Headache vanishes following prayer

I am grateful for Christian Science. As my study of it has become more focused, problems such as colds, headaches, and menstrual pain have become less frequent, less pronounced, and of short duration if they occur at all. As one who suffered from frequent colds each winter, I am very grateful for this increased freedom.

I'd like to share a decisive healing of a headache I had recently. It occurred to me that this wasn't a really bad headache, and that I could probably make it through the day by taking some breaks from my work and going to bed early. Then the idea came very strongly that even though I might be able to do my work in spite of the headache, I owed it to God and to my fellowman to heal the headache through Christian Science. I stopped my work and sat quietly to pray. I was grateful that I didn't have to pray with the material senses, which were reporting pain, but that I pray with spiritual sense, which Mrs. Eddy describes in Science and Health as "the discernment of spiritual good" (p. 505).
