INSTANT FATHERHOOD ... AND MICKEY MOUSE BOOKS!
I lived alone before I married. What a pleasant surprise to meet my future wife, fall in love, and to realize that I would be an instant father to her three-year-old child!
All of a sudden, my free time was spent on the playground or reading Mickey Mouse books. Was I ready for this? Would I miss my quiet hours of leisure reading or watching football?
My father passed on when I was a teenager, and yet one of the most wonderful things that my study of the Bible revealed to me over the years was that God is my true Father. I loved feeling His presence and guidance, and I had seen beautiful proofs of His care and love.
