A newspaper for parents
An interview with Betsy Weaver, publisher of The Boston Parents' Paper
The Boston Parents' Paper has an editorial mission "to facilitate a shared sense of community among parents by providing useful information, support, and a forum for dialogue on issues that are important to all of us as individuals, parents, and families." And this is just one of several publications (print and electronic) put out by Parents' Plus, Inc., of which Betsy Weaver, Ed.D., is founder, chief executive officer, and president.
Ms. Weaver has considerable expertise in the area of parenting and early childhood education, reinforced by her experience as the mother of a fifteen-year-old son and a twelve-year-old daughter.
This gave her a wealth of material to draw on in her role as moderator for a panel discussion sponsored by her paper and presented in the Sunday School auditorium of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston last October. Speakers from several different faiths were invited to talk about their approaches to "Nurturing Spirituality in children.
